This page explains what happens to what you type into Talk At Cha ("the site"). It is written to describe how the site works today; if that changes, this page changes with it.

No accounts

The site has no sign-up, no login, and no user profiles. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or payment details, and there is nowhere for us to put them.

Your messages

When you send a message, it is transmitted to our server and passed to a third-party AI model provider, which generates the reply that streams back to you. This is necessary to make the site work at all.

Talk At Cha does not save your conversations to a database. The conversation exists in your browser tab while it is open, and is discarded when you refresh or close the page. We cannot retrieve a past conversation for you, because we do not have it.

The AI provider that processes your message may retain it briefly for abuse monitoring under its own terms. Because your message leaves your device to be answered, please do not type anything you would not want transmitted to a third party — passwords, financial details, medical records, or anything similarly sensitive.

Technical logs

Our hosting provider records standard server information such as IP address, browser type, and timestamps for each request. This is ordinary infrastructure logging used to keep the site running and to prevent abuse. It is not linked to any identity, because there is no identity to link it to.

Cookies and tracking

The site uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are used. Where advertising is shown, it is served by Google AdSense, which may set cookies or use similar technology to choose and measure ads. You can control personalised advertising in your Google Ads settings, and block cookies in your browser.

Children

Talk At Cha is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Your rights

Rights such as access, correction, and deletion apply to personal data that a service holds about you. Since we do not hold accounts or stored conversations, there is normally nothing to access or delete. If you believe we hold information about you, get in touch and we will look into it.
