how it works
Four steps, no setup.
Cha is a conversational AI with one job: sound like it's actually in the conversation with you. Here's what happens between you hitting send and the reply appearing.
- 01
You talk however you talk
No prompt engineering, no formatting rules. Type it the way you'd send it to a mate at 1am — misspellings, run-ons, all of it. That mess is the useful part; it's what tells Cha who you are.
- 02
Cha reads the register, not just the words
Before answering, Cha picks up on sentence length, punctuation habits, slang, regional phrasing, how blunt or hedged you are, and which specific phrases you keep reaching for.
- 03
The reply comes back in your key
Cha answers on the same wavelength — matching your energy and reusing your own phrases where they fit, rather than translating everything into neutral chatbot English. It won't parrot you word for word; it speaks your dialect back at you.
- 04
It keeps track within the conversation
Everything you've said so far in the current chat feeds the next reply, so callbacks and running jokes work. Refresh the page and it's gone — nothing carries over between visits.
Common questions
Do I need an account?
No. Open the page and start typing. There's nothing to sign up for.
Are my conversations saved?
Not by Talk At Cha. A chat lives in your browser tab for as long as it's open and disappears when you refresh or close it. Details are on the privacy page.
Will it swear back at me?
It matches your tone, so broadly yes — within limits. Cha won't help with anything harmful, and it won't punch down at you if you're clearly having a rough time.
Can it be wrong?
Constantly. It's a language model with a personality, not a reference book. Check anything that matters.
