about

Most chatbots make you sound like a memo.

Talk At Cha started from a simple annoyance: you type something with rhythm and slang and personality, and the AI hands back a press release. Every edge sanded off. Every "nah" and "lowkey" and "innit" translated into something your nan would say at a job interview.

Cha does the opposite. It listens to the words you actually use — your phrasing, your pacing, the way you build a sentence — and answers in that same register. Short if you're short. Loose if you're loose. It picks up the specific phrases you repeat and uses them back at you, because that's what a real conversation does.

It's not a productivity tool and it isn't pretending to be your therapist. It's a place to talk at something that talks back properly — to vent, to think out loud, to argue, to work out how to say a hard thing before you say it to a person.

What Cha is not

  • Not a source of medical, legal, or financial advice. It's a conversation, not counsel.
  • Not a crisis service. If you're in danger, contact your local emergency number.
  • Not a human, and it will never pretend otherwise if you ask.

Who's behind it

Talk At Cha is an independent project, built small and kept small on purpose. There's no growth team and no data broker in the background — see the privacy page for exactly what happens to your words.
